Cables - for the proper cable to connect your Mac's audio output to a stereo system - go to Radio Shack.  Get part $4202153.  It is a Y adapter with a mini mono phone plug at one end and a pair of RCA phone plugs at the other end.  (You may need more than 1 9-inch length.)  To extend this cable, get Radio Shack's #42-2472.  It's 6 feet long.  You can use several of these if necessary.
